Join us as we work with our Shadow Masks, through dialogue and practise, to discover what it means to live more fully into the energy and the mystery they hold.

We will look at ways to work with the masks, through exercises and improvisations.  You are asked to bring a mask which was made in a previous Phase 1, to deepen your connection and consciousness around this particular aspect of shadow

Workshop Description | The BodyDreaming approach to dream work has been developed by Marian Dunlea during many years of teaching Bodysoul work both in small groups and BodySoul Rhythms intensives. Venue | Rahona Beach is a delightful villa set in its own grounds on the coast of  Northern Greece. With private access to the sea and small beach, this venue offers a wonderful space for personal reflection and relaxation. With full booking, we will take over the whole villa and gardens. All rooms are en-suite, air conditioned with balconies and sea views. The owner is a qualified chef, providing an excellent cuisine.

Workshop Description |

DISCOVERING THE UNLIVED LIFE THROUGH DREAMS AND MASK WORK

A Marion Woodman Foundation Affiliated Programme

This event is run as a personal reflection residential workshop with dream work and active imagination, using bodywork, voice, mask, and art. Held at the delightfully positioned Rahone Beach hotel overlooking the sea in Northern Greece.

We use the inner and outer space of natures environment to share
dreams, to connect with the unlived life, and develop personal masks as a
symbol of new life.
We will honour the discipline of morning silence, a time for self reflection and
journaling dreams. Then working with our dreams, we will see where the
energy of the dream is moving in the body and how that opens the
possibility to work with our symbols and images in an embodied form. The
energy that emerges is represented in the mask making process, which then
begins to become embodied in the wearing of the mask. We will draw on the
teachings of Marion Woodman and her BodySoul work in conjunction
with Jungian and Gestalt theory.

Who is the workshop for?
Men and women who are engaged in their own personal work and want to
inquire deeper.
And/Or who have worked with masks and want to explore more fully the
relationship between mask work and dreams.
And/Or who are professionally engaged in working with the development of
others and interested in learning about the process of active imagination
using dreams, art, body, voice and mask work.

The programme |
The programme will start at 6 pm on the 6th July 2010, ending early afternoon of the 11th July 2010.
Travelling by air is to Thessaloniki (Northern Greece), followed by approx. one hour bus or taxi drive.

Fee | Cost 650 (euros) (full board)

Workshop Description / In the midst of an evocative natural setting, we will engage in a depth process listening to the soul as it expresses itself in the body and in dream. The Irish landscape provides a powerful resonance
to mirror the soul’s journey. We will explore the psyche-soma connection
in a creative and playful spirit through dream embodiment, movement,
voice, mask, and artwork. Jungian psychology provides our map to the
dream world and the unconscious as we incorporate Marion Woodman’s
approach to redeeming the feminine.

Comments / This workshop stands alone or can constitute a phase one in the BodySoul Rhythms Leadership Training Programme of the Marion Woodman Foundation. Open to women with at least 50 hours Jungian
analysis/therapy and 50 hours active bodywork, or consent of instructor.

Dunderry Park in Navan, County Meath, is a completely restored 200 year-old Georgian residence. It is surrounded by 25 acres of wooded parkland in a peaceful country setting with lakeside and woodland walks. It is approximately 30 miles north of Dublin in the historic Boyne Valley, famous for the ancient Hill of Tara and the Paleolithic sites of New Grange, Knowth, and Lough Crew. At Boyne Valley the veil between the worlds is thin. We are among mounds, barrows, raths, standing stones, well, and ancient groves. This will be a magical time, so close to Tara, the story center of Ireland.
